Profile

My path:

I am Cedric Bauer, professional dancer and choreographer.

I completed my training at the Dance Professional Mannheim (2016-2019), and during this time

gained experience during this time as a dancer in the freelance scene and at the

National Theater Mannheim.

After successfully completing my training, I initially worked as a freelance dancer

and choreographer in the Rhine-Neckar region.

This was followed by engagements for the National Theater Mannheim, the Staatsphilharmonie

Rheinland-Pfalz, numerous collaborations with the Theater Felina Areal and renowned choreographers

 such as Stefano Giannetti, Luches Huddleston Jr, Melanie Day and the

KIESSECKER|HOESS Company.

About Me:

I started acting at the age of ten and discovered my love for theater.

As a person on the autism spectrum, I found it increasingly difficult to reproduce texts on stage as an actor, which prompted me to change my specialty to dance.

As I am generally a very sporty person with many hobbies and enthusiasms, this change was not difficult for me. On the contrary, dance has helped me to better perceive and understand myself, my body and the whole world around me.

Speaking of my many hobbies, each of my hobbies not only helps me to relax in my free time but is also a perfect complement to my work.

Riding and working with horses helps me to improve my balance in a relaxed and calm way. 

Martial arts (Muay Thai, grappling, MMA) brings agility, respect and a confident demeanor in all aspects of life.

Climbing strengthens the whole body and builds trust in other people.

Last but not least, chess and other strategy games, they help me to keep an eye on the unpredictable, not to rush things and that every failure is an experience for the next game.

My goal:

My aim on stage is to transport the audience into another world.

A world away from all the concerns of everyday life.

A dream world in which you can lose yourself for a brief infinity and let go completely.
